Two more Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces
Two more Palestinians were killed by the occupying Israeli forces. They were killed in two separate incidents in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. The killings occurred on Thursday (November 3) in the run-up to parliamentary elections in Israel.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that one Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank. The name of the deceased person is Dawood Mohammad. He is 42 years old.
Confirming Dawood Mohammed's murder, Israeli police said paramilitary border guards raided Dawood Mohammed's house. According to the police, Dawood hit an Israeli army car on Wednesday (November 2).
The second incident occurred in the Old City area of occupied East Jerusalem. According to the Israeli police, a Palestinian stabbed a police officer. Other officers immediately killed him with brushfire.
This incident happened at a time when the former prime minister, hard right leader Benjamin Netanyahu, is going to come to power again through the last parliamentary elections.
Israeli forces are killing some Palestinians every day under various pretexts. Late last month (October 22), 2 Palestinian youths were shot dead in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
Regarding the two killings, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that a 32-year-old man named Rabi Arafah Rabi was shot in the head by the Israeli forces in Qalqilya area of the West Bank.
According to the United Nations Human Rights Organization, Israeli forces have killed the highest number of Palestinians this year. At a meeting of the UN Security Council last week (October 28), Tor Winsland, a spokesman for the human rights organization, said that since 2005, the highest number of people have been killed in the West Bank since 2005.
The official also said that an explosive situation has already been created in that area. If the talks between the two sides do not start now, the dire situation that will arise is unimaginable.
Winsland said, "I call on the leaders of Israel and Palestine to sit down for negotiations now." At the same time, I am calling to stop this violence at any cost. The United Nations Human Rights Organization said that 32 Palestinians, including 6 children, were killed by Israeli forces at the beginning of this year.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health of Palestine said that the Israeli forces have killed 186 Palestinians so far this year. Of which 134 are in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank and 52 are in the besieged Gaza Strip. Among the dead are 41 children.
UN officials also noted that Israeli settlers in the West Bank have attacked Palestinians 106 times.
On the other hand, 2 members of the Israeli security forces were killed by the Palestinians. Besides, 13 people were injured. In 2022, Israel killed the highest number of Palestinians in the last 16 years, according to the United Nations.
