This young man is the 'hero' who saved Imran from certain death
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was brutally attacked in Pakistan's Punjab province. A political activist of Imran's party PTI was killed in this. Apart from this, 10 people including Imran and his two associates were injured.
According to the Pakistani media, Imran Khan could have been killed by the way the attacker fired. However, a 30-year-old youth stood in the way. The young man was behind the assailant when he fired the pistol.
The young man pulled the hand holding the pistol just as the assailant opened fire. The assailant fired six shots in succession, but instead of hitting Imran's chest, it hit his leg. Imran was seriously injured but survived. The entire scene was captured on the CCTV camera at the scene. It is seen that a young man wearing a red-white-blue T-shirt is holding down the attacker's hand with a gun and trying to hug him.
Meanwhile, the scene of Imran Khan surviving with such a brave step of the young man has gone viral on social media. The citizens of Pakistan showered the young man with praise. Along with that, the photo of the young man is shared on social media and the caption is written "hashtag our hero".
Pakistani media reports that the name and identity of the brave young man is yet to be known.
The young assailant immediately shot Imran and confessed to the attempted murder. In a video that went viral on social media Twitter, the attacker was seen saying that people had mistakenly said bad things about Imran Khan. I wanted to kill Imran for this reason.
The young man also said, "Since the Long March left Lahore, I planned to kill him." I tried everything to kill him. Police claimed to have killed another assailant, but the arrested man claimed that no one else was with him. He wanted to kill Imran alone.
