Russian commander Sergei Saruvikin is worried about Ukraine
The overall military operation in Ukraine's Kherson region has become complex, alarming and tense. This information was given by the Russian commander General Sergey Saruvikin in an interview with the state television on Tuesday (October 18).
According to BBC news, the situation in Kherson is getting complicated day by day. The Russian commander assigned to Ukraine also said that the Ukrainian forces are hitting the infrastructure of the city of Kherson using Hummers. Residents must be evacuated safely.
Earlier, Russia announced to join the Kherson region of Ukraine with its territory. And the Ukrainian forces are desperately fighting to recover it.
Along with Kherson, Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhia regions were also recently announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin to join Russia.
Russian military commander Gen. Sergey Saruvikin said Ukrainian rocket attacks damaged the Antonievsky Bridge and the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam in Kherson. It has stopped traffic in the city center. In this situation, essential items including food supply cannot be delivered there.
Meanwhile, according to Al-Jazeera news, Russia has been attacking Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, for two weeks. They are mainly targeting energy installations.
Ukraine claims that Russia is deliberately attacking energy installations so that the common people of Ukraine cannot keep themselves warm in the coming winter. In these attacks, they are using Iran-made kamikaze drones and various types of missiles.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday (October 18), Russia has destroyed 30 percent of Ukraine's power plants in just eight days starting from October 10.
