2 German pedestrians killed in knife attack

Two German pedestrians aged 20 and 35 were killed on the spot and two others were injured in the attack. The attacker was also admitted to the hospital along with the injured.

The police say that they are investigating whether the attacker, a Somali citizen, was mentally unstable. They are even looking for eyewitnesses to the incident. At the same time, the local administration and law enforcement agencies are looking into whether the assailant has a criminal record or was previously associated with any crime or terrorism.

The interior minister of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the city's additional mayor told reporters that the cause of the attack was being investigated. However, these two politicians also mentioned that such attacks are highly condemnable.
