The guardians of Iranian women are not the West, including the United States: Iran
Zahra Ershadi, the country's deputy representative to the United Nations, took a hand from the West in the face of ongoing protests across Iran. Taking part in a meeting of the Security Council, she claimed that the guardians of Iranian women are not the West, including the United States. News Tehran Times.
Iran has been in turmoil for more than a month over the death of a young woman in police custody. Thousands of people are protesting every day in different cities of the country. Many people, including the president of Iran, are blaming the West for the ongoing situation. Their complaint is that the West is inciting the movement to destabilize Iran.
Iran's Deputy Representative to the United Nations, Zahra Ershadi, raised the same demand on Thursday (October 20) by participating in the Security Council meeting. He said, Iranian women know how to peacefully reconcile with the government. He urged the westerners to stop interfering in the issue. At the same time, Zahra mentioned that the government is also saddened by the death of Mahsa Amini.
Zahra Ershadi said, "The tragic death of Mahsa Amini is heartbreaking. It has hurt our citizens including our government. We regret it. The government is investigating. Our advice to Westerners is, don't try to be guardians of Iranian women. You have no right to speak for them. Our women are very smart, they know how to negotiate with the government.
Meanwhile, the highest religious leader of the country, Ayatollah Al Khamenei, once again took a hand of the conspirators by participating in an event. He identified those who called for university strikes as enemies like the West. At the same time, Khamenei called women who are helping the West abroad from the country.
Ayatollah Al Khamenei said, such incidents are not new. If anything, a strike is called in educational institutions. Because the university is an important place. Many students grow up in the country, but go abroad when it comes to fruition. Enemies benefit from this.
Meanwhile, a group of Iranian football and sports figures have called for Iran to be banned from the World Cup in Qatar. They claim that the government is interfering in Iran by not allowing women to enter stadiums, which is a violation of FIFA rules.
