Large mass graves were found in Ukraine
Authorities have discovered a mass grave of more than 440 bodies in the eastern Ukrainian city of Izyam, which was retaken from Russia. A spokesperson of the country's regional police confirmed this information on Thursday (September 15). News from AFP.
Serhii Balvinov, chief investigative officer of the Kharkiv region, told Sky News that forensic tests will be carried out on each body recovered. He said it is one of the largest mass graves found so far.
He also said that after verification, it was found that some people died due to artillery fire and some due to air strikes. Thousands of Russian troops fled Izium last week.
