France announces increase in electricity and gas bills
In France, the country's Prime Minister Elisabeth Berni has announced an increase in electricity and gas bills at the beginning of next year.
Electricity prices in France have risen by four percent this year compared to last year. However, Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne has announced a 15 percent increase in electricity and gas prices next year. He announced this in a conference.
It has been informed that the increased price of gas and electricity will be effective from January next year. At that time, the average customer may have to pay an average of 25 euros more than the current bill.
People depend on gas and electricity a lot during winter, so there is some fear among them about the crisis.
Meanwhile, the French finance minister said that the country will spend 16 billion euros in this sector due to the increased gas and electricity bills. Out of which 11 billion in gas and 5 billion in electricity sector.
However, the Prime Minister also announced special incentives of the government for financially poor families for the additional gas and electricity bills. Each family will be given 200 euros next year instead of 100 euros before. 12 million families will be covered. This money will be given to the families by the end of this year.
