The session of the United Nations General Assembly begins today
The 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly is starting today, Tuesday (September 20). Representatives of various countries including heads of state and government have arrived in New York to join it.
More than two hundred world leaders will participate in this conference. The security system of New York has been strengthened around this session. Checkpoints have been set up on various important roads.
New York's police chief said, so far, detectives have not received information about any threat or security risk.
Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on world leaders to act on humanity's biggest challenges.
