Which side is Israel in the Ukraine war?
Us President Joe Biden and Israeli President Isaac Herzog have discussed russian attacks in Ukraine using Iranian war drones. On Wednesday, AFP reported that Israel was under pressure to help Ukraine.
Herzog told reporters at the White House that they discussed Iran's nuclear program, a crackdown on protesters against Iran's strict religious laws and Tehran's sale of drones to Russia.
Herzog said that Ukrainian civilians are being killed in these drone attacks.
In the current situation, Israel is not interested in joining the US-led coalition helping pro-Western Ukraine to counter Russian aggression.
Earlier, Herzog's visit to Washington raised concerns about Iran's growing role in the Ukraine conflict.
Herzog met with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday (October 25) and said he had provided intelligence on Iran's supply of drones to Russia.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed Israel's move on Wednesday. "This is a positive trend in relations with Israel," he said. In this regard, after a long hiatus, I am witnessing a move forward.'
During the meeting, Biden and Herzog also discussed the ongoing conflict with the international community over Iran's nuclear program.
