The Algerian president's office said that he will not be able to attend this conference at the request of the doctor. However, Saudi Arabia did not immediately comment on this.
Al-Jazeera reported that Algeria issued official announcements in Arabic and French following Prince Salman's telephone conversation with President Abdel Madjid on Saturday. According to the notification, Prince Salman has expressed his regret for being absent from the Arab League conference on November 1. He said that he cannot travel now on the doctor's advice.
The notification also said that the President of Algeria understood the situation of the Prince and wished him well. Meanwhile, the Saudi state press agency confirmed the telephone dialogue between the Algerian president and Mohammed bin Salman in a statement. However, there is no information about the illness of the Saudi prince.
