NATO provides air defense system to Ukraine

In this situation, Germany has sent sophisticated air defense systems to Ukraine within a day of asking for help from the G7 countries. The defense system is transferred through the Poland-Ukraine border.
On Wednesday (October 12), Ukraine's allies announced a modernized air defense system. The UK has said it will provide Ukraine with hundreds of drones, along with anti-missile defense systems. The UK will also provide the latest artillery system, howitzers.
France has also announced to provide air defense system to Ukraine. However, the country has not clarified what kind of arms support will be provided.
In addition, the Netherlands has also announced to provide an air defense system worth one and a half million dollars. Meanwhile, Canada has pledged more than $34 million in military aid to Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky joined the virtual meeting of the G7 countries and called for more advanced weapons in their air defense system as a matter of urgency.
It is known that in the meeting, the G7 leaders strongly condemned Russia's intense missile attack on Ukraine and pledged to hold the Russian President Vladimir Putin and others responsible for it accountable. In a joint statement after the meeting, they said, indiscriminate attacks on innocent people amount to war crimes.
On this day, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at the Energy Week International Conference in Russia. At that time, he blamed the West for increasing the price of fuel in Europe. At the same time, Putin proposed to supply gas to Europe through the operational section of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline to alleviate the crisis. Meanwhile, a leak was detected in the Druzhba pipeline that supplies oil from Russia to Europe. As a result, Poland said that oil supply to Germany has decreased.
