Emirates new visa policy, golden opportunity for skilled professionals

The United Arab Emirates has formulated a new visa policy for immigration. The country's government wants to give opportunities to skilled professionals among foreign workers in the new policy. The goal is to overcome the pressure of the Corona epidemic and accelerate economic growth.

According to a report by Al-Jazeera, the Emirates released the new visa policy on Monday (October 3). Local media called it the biggest change in the country's immigration and housing policy in years.

Among the new changes introduced in the visa policy is the extension of tourist visas. Tourists can now stay for a maximum of 90 days instead of a maximum of 60 days. Apart from this, skilled professional workers have the opportunity to stay for a period of 10 years. It is called Golden Visa.

Basically, three years ago, the Emirates authorities introduced long-term visas for foreign nationals. Under this, visas are given for a period of 5 and 10 years. Among these, the visa that is given for a period of 10 years is the golden visa.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Golden Visa in 2019. Under this, people of various professions including doctors, scientists, students with good results are given the opportunity to live in the Emirates for 10 years with their families.

The type of Golden Visa depends mainly on the investment. Anyone can live in the country with a golden visa if they invest at least 1 million dirhams or 2.7 million dollars in the Emirates.

Emirate authorities issue visas based on certain criteria, through which talents from various fields can live, work and study there. Apart from this, talented professionals from various sectors including teachers and journalists will also be covered.
