US ambassador to Pakistan summoned over Biden's comments
Pakistan is 'one of the most dangerous countries' - US President Joe Biden's comments have hit Islamabad. The Ministry of External Affairs has summoned the US ambassador after raising questions about Pakistan's nuclear program. Dawn's news.
US President Joe Biden called Pakistan one of the most dangerous countries in the world by participating in an election campaign last Thursday (October 13). He said that Pakistan is one of the most dangerous countries in the world as it has nuclear weapons without any control.
After that speech of Joe Biden, a storm of criticism started across Pakistan. In addition to strongly condemning his comments, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the US ambassador to the country, Donald Blom. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto said in a press conference at his residence in Karachi that Pakistan's nuclear assets have met all international standards related to safety and security of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Pakistan's foreign minister said, 'I am surprised by President Biden's comments. I believe that this type of misunderstanding is precisely when there is a lack of dialogue. If there is any question about the safety of nuclear weapons then that question should also be thrown at our neighbor India. Who recently accidentally fired a missile into Pakistani territory.'
Apart from this, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif termed Biden's comments as wrong and misleading. Leaders of the opposition Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have also heated up the field over Biden's comments. The party has been alleging for months that the United States played a role in ousting the Imran Khan-led PTI government.
Experts say that the United States has waved a stick from behind to oust Imran Khan and put Shahbaz Sharif in power. Now this comment of Biden will have a negative impact on the diplomatic relations of the two countries.
