Indian soldiers are committing atrocities in Kashmir: Shahbaz
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif addressed the 77th General Session of the United Nations in New York on Friday (September 23). He talked about the flood situation in his country and the Muslims of Israel, Palestine and India. AP news.
Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Pakistan's Prime Minister spoke about resolving the issue through dialogue with India. At the time, he raised the issue of abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Said that India should withdraw the illegal action taken in August 2019 and return to the path of peace and negotiations.
Shahbaz also said he was concerned about some extremist groups in India calling for 'genocide' against Muslims.
He also complained that New Delhi is planning to change the demographics of the Kashmir Valley.
Earlier in the UN, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan also spoke about the cancellation of Article 370 in Kashmir. Like Shahbaz Sharif, he also blamed India.
In this context, Delhi is adamant about its position. India has always said that Kashmir is an integral part of India and Pakistan should not interfere with it.
Even after that, Islamabad did not withdraw from its position. Even though they talk about negotiations, they have always used the international platform to blame India.
Shahbaz Sharif complained to the United Nations and said that the Indian army in Jammu and Kashmir is continuously committing torture and violating human rights. Attempts are being made to change the population there through force. India wants to turn Muslim majority Kashmir into Hindu majority Kashmir.
In the past, Shahbaz's elder brother Nawaz Sharif, as Prime Minister of Pakistan, had raised similar allegations of atrocities against the Indian Army in the UN General Assembly.
It is believed that India will respond to Pakistan's statement in the 77th session of the United Nations. Diplomats say, the international stage will once again become the arena of India-Pakistan war of words.
