British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is not only linked to India but also to Pakistan. Along with the Indians, Pakistanis are also celebrating this connection.

Sunak is a British citizen by birth. He was born in Southampton, United Kingdom. His parents are also not Indians by birth. They were born in Nairobi, Kenya. From there, they moved to the United Kingdom.

However, due to his grandparents, he can be said to be of Indian origin. Because his grandparents were born in Gujranwala, undivided India. At present, the place belongs to the Punjab of Pakistan. Sunak is also of Pakistani origin.

Rishi's grandfather Ramdas Sunak's house was originally in Gujranwala, undivided India. The place is currently under the Punjab province of Pakistan. Ramdas Sunak left Gujranwala in 1935 and moved to Kenya. Two years later, in 1937, her grandmother Sohag Rani Sunak also moved to Kenya with her husband.
