According to army sources, Cheetah helicopter is their biggest weapon to conduct various operations in hilly areas. From Siachen to the forested hilly areas of Arunachal, these helicopters are used to transport personnel or deliver logistics.
Earlier last March, an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed in the Barayum area of ​​Gurez sector in Kashmir. The copter was carrying a BSF jawan who fell ill. That's when the accident happened. A pilot lost his life despite a quick rescue operation. As the area was covered with snow, the rescue team had to speed up.
The Indian Army said the helicopter crashed in the forested hilly areas of Arunachal, making the rescue operation very difficult.
