Imran's call for long march started, security strengthened in Pakistan

Long march called by PTI has started in Pakistan to demand early elections. Former Prime Minister and PTI leader Imran Khan is leading this long march called 'Haq Ki Azadi'. Meanwhile, Home Minister Rana Sanaullah has warned PTI supporters to crack down on any disturbance. Security has been strengthened.


Since losing his post, Imran Khan has been holding rallies in different cities of Pakistan. They are demanding early elections. Following this, PTI started a long march called 'Haq-ki Azadi' from Liberty Chowk in Lahore towards Islamabad on Friday (October 28). Imran Khan himself is leading this long march which started with millions of supporters. 


Meanwhile, the country's government has strengthened security measures from Lahore to Islamabad around the Long March. More than 13,000 security forces have been deployed. The country's police said that tear gas will not be thrown at PTI supporters. However, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has warned of strict repression if there is any disorder in the assembly. However, PTI said that the long march will be completed peacefully. 


Earlier on Tuesday (October 25) Imran Khan called for a long march for the second time. In a video message on Thursday (October 27), he urged everyone to join the rally in groups. A warning was also given to continue the agitation until the election date is announced.

This year, Imran Khan was ousted through a no-confidence motion in Parliament. Since then, PTI has been holding protests in one city after another. This is Imran Khan's second long march towards Islamabad. Earlier, he called for the first long march on May 25. At that time millions of supporters responded to his call and joined the Long March.
