Japan in danger of super typhoon
Super typhoon 'Nanmadol' is about to hit Japan. Which can cause extensive damage. The Meteorological Department of the country has already issued a warning.
The typhoon is expected to make landfall on Sunday (September 18) over the Kagoshima region of Kyushu Island. At that time, the wind speed can reach up to 270 km per hour.
Heavy and very heavy rainfall warnings have also been issued along with severe storms. There can be more than 500 mm of rain in 24 hours. Along with this, the danger of flash floods and landslides has also been expressed.
The country's weather forecaster predicts that the typhoon will move northeast over Japan's southernmost island of Kishuda and cross the central region towards the capital, Tokyo.
In the meantime, trains and flights to the island of Kyushu have been suspended. However, the typhoon is expected to lose strength quickly in Tokyo.
