China and Russia can act as 'super powers' to ensure global stability. Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed this optimism in a face-to-face meeting with President Vladimir Putin. News agency Reuters.
Their much talked about meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization or SCO conference on Thursday (September 15).
At that time, the President of China called Putin as a long-time absolute and dear friend. He said that his country is interested in working with Russia to restore stability in the post-war world.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin lashed out at those who create political polarization. He said that China has always maintained a balanced position regarding military operations in Ukraine. Which is an important strategy in maintaining foreign relations. He also expressed his interest in working in alliance in the future. This is the first face-to-face meeting between the two leaders since the start of military operations in Ukraine in February.
