Leaks were also detected in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Gas is emitting at high speed from both pipeline openings. Authorities have issued warnings in the area to avoid accidents. News from Reuters and Deutsche Welle.

Denmark's Maritime Traffic Agency has blocked a five nautical square mile area near the island of Bornholm. All ships and boats have been banned. The Nordstream 2 gas pipeline passes through that area. Denmark said the pipeline had leaked at that location. The gas has gone into the sea.

Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 are the two most important pipelines owned by Russia. Two pipelines were built to supply gas to European countries. Gas was supplied through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.

However, Russian state energy company Gazprom stopped supplying gas to Germany through this line last month due to conflict with Europe in view of the military operation in Ukraine.

The Nord Stream 2 pipeline also stretches from Russia to Germany. The line was created recently. The line was supposed to supply gas to Germany.

But just days before the Ukraine operation, Germany suspended gas supplies indefinitely. Gas is not supplied but there is gas in the pipeline. Gas was injected to test.

On Tuesday (September 27), a spokesperson for the Swedish Maritime Administration said that Nord Stream 1 had found a hole in the Swedish economic zone and the Danish economic zone. Both holes are located in the northeastern part of the Danish island of Bornholm.

The Danish Maritime Traffic Agency issued a warning in an area of at least five nautical square miles near the island of Bornholm after the hole was detected. All ships and boats are prohibited. Denmark has reported a gas leak in a pipeline near its island.

Danish authorities said the gas pressure in the pipeline was 105. Suddenly it drops to 107. Only then they see bubbles formed in the sea water. It was then that the gall leak became apparent.

Denmark also said there is a risk of major accidents if ships enter the area. That is why the entire area has been sealed. No one except experts is allowed to enter the area. However, the Russian authorities have not yet commented on the sudden hole in the pipeline.
