Fraud case against Trump
Former US President Donald Trump and his three children have been sued for fraud by the New York Attorney General. He alleged that the Trump family and its companies committed "numerous" acts of fraud between 2011 and 2021.
On Wednesday (September 21), the lawsuit was filed alleging that Trump hid information about his assets to get loans and other benefits. Al Jazeera news.
In addition, the Trump Organization, Trump's son Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump have been indicted.
New York Attorney General Letitia James tweeted about the case, saying Trump used his children to cover up billions of dollars in information to get loans and other benefits. Trump himself lied in order to gain huge financial benefits for himself.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has denied the allegations of concealment and fraud against him. Moreover, the Trump Organization has said that these allegations are baseless.
According to the BBC report, the court ordered that Donald Trump and none of his company or family can be directors of any business in New York.
Earlier, Trump and his family were accused of several business frauds. In January of this year, New York Attorney General Leticia James said that an investigation found that Trump's organization overstated the value of any property in obtaining loans. Again, the price of that property is lower and got exemption from income tax.
