Arrested 14 thousand, charges against 1 thousand people
At least,000 people have been charged with involvement inanti-government protests in Iran over the death of Kurdish teenager Mahsa Amini in police guardianship. They've been indicted of killing security guards, wildfire and acts of sabotage. The Iranian government has said that the public trial of the accused will begin soon.
Mahsa Amini, a youthful woman, died in police custody on September 16 due to the hijab issue in Iran. The family members declared that she died in the face of inhuman torture. After this incident was revealed, screams started in Iran. There are protests in every city of the country. A month and a half latterly, thousands of people are still protesting in different cities of Iran.
Al- Jazeera reported that the Iranian government has been advising the protesters one after the other. The country's police are also conducting arrest operations. Authorities haven't revealed how multiple people have been arrested so far across Iran. However, rights activists say that this number is at least 14 thousand.
Following this, at least,000 people have been charged for involvement inanti-government protests. There are more than three hundred of them in Tehran fiefdom. Allegations of killing security guards, arson and vandalization have been brought against the agitators.
The authorities say that those who are set up to have serious charges will be transferred to the Revolutionary Court. The trial will begin in public this week.
The notice came amid ongoing stresses over the recent killing of two youth protesters in northeastern Iran. According to the Iranian human rights association HRANA, 284 people, including 45 children, have been killed by the security forces in the ongoing protests. Apart from this, 35 members of the security forces were killed during the protest.
