Israel launches three attacks in Syria in a week
Israel has targeted several installations near Damascus. They carried out the attack in the early hours of Thursday (October 27).
The Ministry of Defense of Syria said this. This is the third such attack in less than a week.
Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in Syria since the start of the civil war in 2011. These attacks have generally targeted government installations as well as Iran-backed forces and Hezbollah fighters.
An AFP correspondent said explosions were heard from the Syrian capital from Wednesday night to Thursday.
According to a statement from the Syrian Ministry of Defense, Israel carried out airstrikes on several locations around Damascus through the occupied Palestinian territories. Syria repelled several missiles with air defenses.
Britain-based "The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights" said that Israel carried out these attacks near Damascus International Airport.
