TikTok removed 1 crore 53 million videos from Pakistan
Popular social media platform TikTok has removed around one and a half million videos from Pakistan. Most of these videos are deleted before anyone sees them.
The news was published in the Pakistani media Dawn. They said that the Pakistani videos were deleted because the videos did not comply with the new TikTok rules.
At the same time, Dawn also said that not only Pakistan, but many countries around the world have deleted videos from TikTok. TikTok has deleted 11.3 million videos since the middle of this year. Which is 1 percent of the total videos uploaded on Tiktok.
In September, the Chinese video app TikTok issued its Community Guidelines, a new set of guidelines for TikTok video uploaders. They will now use new technology and monitoring to identify videos that do not comply with the rules and take strict action against videos that violate the policy.
Dawn also reported that 1 crore 53 lakh 51 thousand 388 videos uploaded from Pakistan have been deleted under the new policy. Of these, 97 percent were deleted within 24 hours. 98 percent of videos are deleted before someone complains about them, and 97 percent of videos are deleted before anyone sees them.
