Apple shook his head, changing iPhone chargers
Apple finally gave up. They will not be able to keep a separate charger for charging the iPhone. The world's most influential mobile phone manufacturing company was forced to bow before the conditions of the European Union. Following the 'one type of smartphone charger' principle, the next versions of the iPhone will have a C port charger.
For so long, iPhone had to be charged at Apple's own Lightning port. However, on Tuesday, Apple's marketing director, Greg Jose Wiak, said that they are forced to comply with the European Union's policy regarding smartphone chargers.
The European Union has already said that all smartphone chargers must be the same. Experts estimate that this rule may come into effect from the beginning of next year. So iPhone manufacturers have already started preparing. They said that the iPhone 15 is going to be Apple's first iPhone that can use the C port charger.
However, some experts believe that it may take another year for the EU directive to come into effect. In that case, maybe from 2024, the policy of 'one type of charger for all smartphones' will be effective in all aspects.
In many cases, users have to be in danger to charge the iPhone for a separate charging port. But it's also the charging port that makes Apple stand out from other smartphones. Apart from that, it also benefits the business. Because if the charger is lost or damaged, the iPhone user has to buy the charger from Apple.
Recently, Apple has also started using chargers with C ports for charging their MacBooks and iPads. However, another question has arisen in the announcement of Apple's charging port change. Users want to know, the use of C port charger will be limited only in Europe? Or will the same rules apply elsewhere across the continent?
It should be noted that countries other than Europe have recently started thinking of implementing the same charger policy for all phones.
