Concrete collapse of warehouse in Brazil kills 9 people
At least nine people have died after a concrete structure collapsed at a warehouse near the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo. The accident happened on Tuesday (September 20) during the inspection of the warehouse of two candidates for the parliamentary elections. Reuters news.
According to media reports, congressional candidates John Donizet and Eli Santos were visiting Brazil's container company Multitainer when a section of the warehouse's concrete structure collapsed on them and the company's workers.
In a post on social media, Donizet said both he and Santos were rescued.
According to the local fire department, at least 9 people died in the collapse.
Fire department also said 31 people were rescued from the rubble. 28 of them have been admitted to local hospitals.
An official of the fire department said that the rescue team believes that more people are trapped under the debris.
